This section explains how to create subtitled Sofdec2 data (subtitled movies).
Required Files
To create a subtitled movie, you will need the following three types of files.
Multiplex these files to create the Sofdec2 data.
- Video material files
- Audio material files
- Subtitle information files
Preparing the Subtitle Information File
First, you will need to prepare a subtitle information file.
Subtitle information file is a text-format file that designates the timing at which the subtitle content (strings) should be displayed.
Write the subtitle content and display time information in a text file in the format described on the following page:
Procedure for Creating Subtitled Movie Data
- Run the Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard.
- Set the platform, video material file, and audio material file on each page.
- Specify the subtitle information files on the [Specifying Input Subtitle Materials] page.
First, select the [Specify Subtitle File] radio button.
Next, | | click the [Specify Subtitle File] button and register the subtitle information file. |
You can register a subtitle information file to any subtitle channel from 0 to 15.
- After you set the output destination and other encoding parameters, perform the encoding to create the subtitled movie data.

(a) | You can include up to 16 sets of subtitles in a single movie. |
(b) | Specify the subtitle channel you specified when creating the data during playback with the criManaPlayer_SetSubtitleChannel function. |
