On this page, you can set the image quality and compression ratio of the Sofdec2 data.
You can specify the bit rate (or file size) of the output file, or select the encoding parameters from a template to set the image quality.
Bit Rate (or File Size) Configuration
You can specify a target value for the bit rate (or file size) of the Sofdec2 data that is output via encoding.
Select either bit rate or file size for the target value, and then specify a value. You can select the unit for the specified value by the combo box.
Template Settings
- Types of Templates
Templates are provided for setting common variations of encoding parameters.
You can select a template to easily apply the optimal compression parameters for encoding.
Template List
Template Name | Description |
High Quality | Creates a high quality movie.
A high bit rate is used, so the file size will be large. |
Standard | Creates a standard quality movie. |
High Compression | Creates a movie with the smallest file size possible. |
Audio Quality
If you have specified audio files on the Audio page, this section shows the audio bit rate information.
If you have selected the HCA codec as the audio codec, you can also change the audio quality/compression ratio for HCA compression here.
The HCA quality setting values and general compression ratio are shown in the following table: The default quality setting is HIGH.
Quality Setting | When Monaural | When Stereo or Better |
HIGHEST | 1/4 | 1/4 |
HIGH | 1/6 | 1/6 |
MIDDLE | 1/8 | 1/8 |
LOW | 1/10 | 1/12 |
LOWEST | 1/12 | 1/16 |
