Multilingual Movies
Sofdec2 data can contain multiple audio tracks.
By supplying separate audio files for different languages, you can create a movie that supports multilingual playback.

Required Files

To create a multilingual movie, you will need a video material file, and audio material files for each language you want to support.

  • Video material files
  • Audio material files
Audio files for each supported language (stereo or monaural)

Procedure for Creating Multilingual Movie Data

  1. Run the Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard.

  2. Set the platform and video material file on each page.

  3. Specify the audio material files on the [Specify Input Audio Materials] page.
First, select the [Specify Audio File] radio button.
Next, click the [Add Audio File] button and register an audio material file.
You can register an audio material file to any audio track from 0 to 31.
Register the audio files as needed for the number of language audio tracks you need.

  4. After you set the output destination and other encoding parameters, perform the encoding to create the multilingual movie data.
