The method for specifying surround sound has changed as of Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard Ver.1.06.00.
The method of specifying six separate monaural materials is no longer supported in Sofdec2 Encoding Wizard.
When encoding surround sound, specify a six channel of material file.
You can still specify six monaural materials in the console version of the encoding tool.
On this page, select the audio materials for the Sofdec2 data.
Adding Audio Materials
- Audio Materials Specification
To add audio materials, click the | | [Add Audio File] button and select the file to add. |
You can also drop files into the list view to add them.
- Video Materials With Audio Tracks
If you have specified a video material with audio tracks on the video materials selection page, you can select the [Use the audio tracks in the video] check box.
When this check box is selected, the file selected on the video materials selection page will be added to the list view as audio materials.

List View
You can add, delete, and edit audio materials in the list view.
The list view columns show the following information about the audio materials: "Track", "File Name", and "Folder".
The "Track" column shows the ID that identifies the audio track in the Sofdec2 data.
The following table lists the functions of the buttons to the right of the list view:

(a) | You can double-click the list view in the channel you want to register audio materials to register the audio to that channel. |
(b) | Some platforms do not support surround sound playback. In such cases, use monaural or stereo audio materials. |
